Exfoliating ones skin is a very important step in one’s skin care routine. I try to do it as regularly as possible as it helps remove dead skin cells allowing for a smooth, toned and firm look. This sugar scrub has been my go to staple for the past year or so. It smells divine, is good enough to eat and will not break the bank with its easy to procure ingredients. You might even have these in your pantry already.

What’s in it?

Coconut Oil: A deeply nourishing essential oil that keeps the skin moisturized protecting it from drying out.

Honey: A natural ingredient famed for its anti-bacterial & anti-oxidant properties that protects your skin from stress and fine lines.

Sugar: The crystal exfoliate element of the scrub. Much as brown sugar is preferred for being the healthier option, white sugar works just as well.

Lemon/Lime Juice: Rich in vitamin C, the antioxidant properties help brighten and tone skin.

2 Tablespoon of Sugar

1 Teaspoon of Honey

1 Tablespoon Coconut oil

1 Tablespoon of Lemon/Lime juice

1. Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. You can add a little more oil if its too thick. You want a pouring consistency you can lather onto skin.

2. Apply to wet skin scrubbing gently in circular motions using your fingers.

3. Rinse with warm water. Pat skin dry and moisturize.

Your skin should feel and look nourished and revitalized. I recommend using this routine at least once a week.
